Pawns, Bishops, and Rooks

Chess Club members are now part of a group within Chess Club, along these lines:

2nd graders/beginners of all ages: Pawns

3-4th graders: Bishops

5-6th graders: Rooks

Our coach will structure lessons/puzzles for each level at every meeting!

Get Your Forms In for Friday!

Our first meeting will be Friday, September 25 from 3:30 - 4:15. Remember that only those players who have turned in completed forms and dues will be allowed to participate. Feel free to post here or email me with any questions!

Chess Club Sign-Ups are on September 18

Parents of 2nd-6th graders, come sign up for Chess Club in the cafeteria after school on Friday, September 25.

Returning players must sign up.

• Chess Club yearly dues are $60.

Chess Club does not receive any outside funding and relies on dues to pay our coaches and Masters, as well as for equipment, t-shirts, tournament entrance fees, trophies, certificates, and party food/supplies.

• Chess Club will meet most Fridays from 3:30-4:15 in the cafeteria, beginning on 9/25

NEW THIS YEAR:

One parent will be required to chaperone at least ONE meeting per semester (once in the fall and once in the spring.)
